Alpha. Tested end to end on Argo CD 3 with a Jira Cloud development site. Details may change before 1.0.

2026-10-19: first alpha

Syncotta app (Jira Cloud, alpha). The Atlassian Marketplace listing is coming; it is a paid app with a free trial.

  • Argo CD deployments on Jira work items (Development panel, Releases view), per environment.
  • Work item keys from commit messages (single-source apps), the syncotta.com/issues annotation and CI.
  • Change gate on a Jira work item (Standard mode): allowing and rejecting statuses, checked against Jira when you save; status changes in Jira are picked up at once.
  • Per Argo CD instance: notifications token and HMAC key (rotation keeps the old value for 24 hours), environment mapping, fail policy for errors and for an inactive licence.
  • Not in the alpha: native Jira Service Management Premium change requests (after the alpha).

Helm chart syncotta 0.1.0 (oci://ghcr.io/syncotta/charts/syncotta)

  • Notifications config in two modes: argocdValues for the official argo-cd chart, configMap for plain installs. In configMap mode helm uninstall keeps Argo CD’s notifications config (notifications.keepOnUninstall).
  • PreSync gate Job, added as a dependency of an application’s chart (gate.enabled).

Gate client image 0.1.0 (ghcr.io/syncotta/gate-client:0.1.0, linux/amd64 and arm64)

  • Alpine 3.24 pinned by digest, curl and openssl, one POSIX shell script; runs as a non-root user with a read-only root filesystem; provenance and SBOM attestations.

GitHub Action v0.1.0 (Syncotta/syncotta-action, @v0)

  • Reports image, tags, repository, commit and work item keys from pull request title, branch name and commit messages; never fails a build unless fail-on-error: true.
