For Jira Cloud and Jira Service Management

Know what's in production. And who approved it.

Argo CD deployments and change approvals in Jira.

How it works

  1. Argo CD syncs

Argo CD Notifications sends the result to Syncotta.

  2. Jira shows it

The deployment appears on the related work items.

  3. The gate decides

A production sync continues, waits or stops.

Every Argo CD deployment, in Jira

Syncs appear in the Deployments panel and Releases view of the related work items.

  • Environment, status, commit and version
  • Linked by commit messages, annotations or CI metadata
  • Works on any Jira Cloud plan

Production waits for approval

Before a production sync, a PreSync check asks Jira whether the change is approved.

  • JSM Premium: native deployment gating and change requests
  • Jira Standard: a gate driven by a regular issue
  • Fail-open or fail-closed, your choice

Nothing calls into your cluster

Your cluster sends data to Syncotta. Syncotta never connects to Argo CD, Git or Kubernetes.

  • Built on Atlassian Forge, no external servers
  • Every request authenticated, with replay protection
  • Secrets in Forge storage, never in URLs or logs

Questions

Do I need JSM Premium?

No. Deployment tracking works on any Jira Cloud plan. Gating has a Premium mode and a Standard mode.

Does Syncotta need network access to my cluster?

No. The cluster pushes events out; nothing comes in.

What happens if Jira is unreachable during a production sync?

The admin chooses fail-open or fail-closed.
